Patricia was born on March 29, 1937 to Art & Ann Ferry in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised in Manvel, North Dakota, and moved to Portland, Oregon after high school. She married Robert Canning in 1978. She raised children, foster children, and step children.
She worked as a seamstress her entire life, and during that time taught many other people to sew. In addition to her passion for sewing, Patricia also loved music and gardening.
Patricia will always be remembered as joyful, caring, and loving ("Fasten your seatbelt!"). She was quick witted, with a great sense of humor, and was full of wisdom. She always managed to take all of the kids camping - cloth diapers and all!
Patricia is survived by many children, step children, and grand and great grand children. She is also survived by her brothers Ray and Robert(Cec) Ferry.
There will be a chapel service to celebrate Patricia's life at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2-3pm.
