Patricia Frances Kennedy was born in Portland, Oregon to Mary and Frank Kennedy. She worked hard as a single mother during the 70s and put herself through college, earning a Masters Degree and a PHD in Marketing from the University of Oregon. She then secured a tenured professorship of marketing at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, serving in the Faculty Senate, as well as working in the Dean's Office for several years. She traveled extensively in Europe while presenting her research on the effects of marketing on adolescent girls and young women. She lived life to the fullest, even during her 7 year battle with ovarian cancer. Pat died peacefully at home with her family by her side.
She is survived by her son Blake, daughter-in-law Sarah, and grandchild Finnegan. We will always treasure Pat's generous spirit and devotion to those she loved.
