Patricia Louise Mobley
December 17, 1936 – June 1, 2018
Patricia L. Mobley, 81, of Portland passed away on June 1, 2018. Patricia was born in Portland, Oregon and was raised by Henry and Alene Huebner in a loving home with her big sister Jackie. Patricia graduated from Jefferson High School and received a music scholarship to continue her education at Lewis and Clark College, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree.
In December of 1972, Patricia married Dewey Mobley and resided in Portland, OR. After having her first son Eugene in 1973, they moved to Coos Bay, OR and had twin sons, Patrick and Michael. They built their life in Coos Bay and moved to Eugene, OR in 1980. In 1984, they moved back to Portland and bought a home, where she focused on providing a loving, happy home for her boys, her husband, and cared for her father Henry (Baba) in his final year.
Patricia's home is remembered as a place you could always relax, hang out and never go hungry. Her sons and their friends recall that she would fix food for an army! In her later years, Patricia enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren playing the piano and singing songs. Her family was most important to her, always showing love and concern for them even as she battled her own serious health issues for several years. She was passionate about helping those in need as well. She supported nonprofit organizations for the homeless community, children with disabilities and local law enforcement agencies. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey; parents, Henry and Alene; and her sister, Jackie. She is survived by her sons, Gene (Tricia, and their children Gracie, Maxwell and Ellie), Pat (and his son, Justin), and Michael (Karine and their children, Maya and Luke). A graveside service for immediate family will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park on Saturday, June 16th at 11:00am. A celebration of life will be held at her home from 1:30pm - 4:00pm that day.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Doernbechers Children’s Hospital and/or Shriners Hospital for Children. Mom thanks you.

My name is Beverley Barrett Clark. I met my dear friend Pat in 6th grade. We had a group of us that went through Kenton Grade School and Jefferson High School together. We have remained friends for all our lives and tried to keep in touch with each other no matter where we lived. We had a lot of fun going to all of the high school reunions.
We had lots of slumber parties and we all had great fun together. We didn't get sleep. We loved staying up and being silly. We loved going to the school dances and had lots of fun. We always liked to go to lunch together as friends.
In our senior year Pat was dating a friend of mine, Don Cope. One evening when I got off work Don & Pat came by a hamburger joint where i was eating and wanted to introduce me to a friend of Don's. To make a long story short the friend, Jerry Clark, and I got married in November of 1954. Pat was my maid of honor and the other friends in our group were my bridesmaids. Jerry and I will be married 64 years this November.
Pat played the piano for many school activities at school. She was always very beautiful and talented. I miss her already and will cherish our memories. We have had many over all these years.
Our little group of friends got together at Pats home a few months ago and had lunch. We shared memories and laughed a lot. I live in Utah and have missed not seeing Pat more often. She suffered very much in her last few years, but still loved having us over for lunch. She was very proud of her family and talked about them always. She suffered with grace in her last few months. We will meet again in the great Beyond. God bless her soul. I love you Pat.
