Patricia Ann Winkler (Fulton), a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026.
Pat was born on June 8, 1948 in Huntington, Indiana. She grew up on a farm where she developed a strong work ethic by helping with chores, doing 4-H projects, and corralling her four younger siblings. In high school, she enjoyed singing in the choir, cheerleading, and playing piano. She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1966.
After high school, Pat attended Parkview Methodist School of Nursing in Ft. Wayne, where she met her husband Don Winkler who was studying at Concordia Theological Seminary nearby. They were married in 1969.
Pat busied herself with a growing family as Don pastored churches in Ohio and Pennsylvania. In 1982, they moved the family to Sherwood, Oregon where Don was the pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church for many years. Pat resumed her career as an RN at Friendsview Manor in Newberg, Oregon, eventually becoming the Director of Nursing.
Pat was a caring, attentive mother with a steady hand. As a grandmother, she vacationed with family, attended ballgames, took the grandkids on hikes and little adventures, and invented games for them to play at family gatherings and sleepovers.
Steadfast in her faith, Pat was very active at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aloha, Oregon where she sang in the church choir, attended bible study, and assisted with Sunday school and other activities. Pat had an active social life, singing in The Noteables ensemble for many years, playing Bunco and lunching with her friends from church. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling.
Pat lived in service of others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She has touched countless lives and will be dearly missed.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Don, her sons Jared and Joshua, her sister Linda, her brothers Rodger and Chris, and her parents Glen and Doris.
She is survived by her sisters Carolyn Harvey of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Marcia Klodzen of Camdenton, Missouri, her daughter Jill Moser of Morton, Illinois, her sons Jeff, Jeremy, and James all of Portland, and seven grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 1:00-4:30pm on Wednesday, June 17th at Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary in Portland, followed by a memorial service at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 18th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aloha.
