It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick Joseph O’Donnell II announces his passing after a ten year fight with prostate cancer. Pat died Sunday July 29th at his home at the age of 83 in Milwaukie, Oregon.
Pat was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1934 to Patrick and Margaret O’Donnell, he grew up in Venice Beach, CA then spent his teenage years in Glendora, CA. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Princeton. After a four year tour in the Navy, Pat attended Cal Poly University and graduated with a degree in Horticulture. From there he moved to Portland to work for his Uncle Myles at the family Janitorial Contracting business, finally retiring in 2017. He loved to work. In his off time Pat was an avid outdoorsman who took interest in gardening and landscapes, photography and cycling. Anyone that knew Pat received a lesson in humility and selflessness, he was a special man, loved by many.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Anne; his son, Patrick; daughter-in-law, Kimberly; grandson, PJ; and three brothers, Jerry, Myles, Robert and their families.
