October 1, 1934July 29, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick Joseph O’Donnell II announces his passing after a ten year fight with prostate cancer. Pat died Sunday July 29th at his home at the age of 83 in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Pat was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1934 to Patrick and Margaret O’Donnell, he grew up in Venice Beach, CA then spent his teenage years in Glendora, CA. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Princeton. After a four year tour in the Navy, Pat attended Cal Poly University and graduated with a degree in Horticulture. From there he moved to Portland to work for his Uncle Myles at the family Janitorial Contracting business, finally retiring in 2017. He loved to work. In his off time Pat was an avid outdoorsman who took interest in gardening and landscapes, photography and cycling. Anyone that knew Pat received a lesson in humility and selflessness, he was a special man, loved by many.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Anne; his son, Patrick; daughter-in-law, Kimberly; grandson, PJ; and three brothers, Jerry, Myles, Robert and their families.

When I think of Pat I see a tall man with white hair and an ever present smile on his face.

I remember Pat showing me how to catch crawdads in the creek, and building the most amazing slip and slides in the back yard for us kids to enjoy when we were young.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this time and I hope that warm memories fill your hearts and bring you all comfort.
