Phyllis Joyce Henkel born October 12, 1933 to John and Arlie Wilson of Portland, Oregon, died January 1, 2012. She is survived by her husband Louis James (Jim) Henkel of 58 years, her daughters and son-in-laws Barbara and Dan Andresen, Becky and Howard Cook, Meg and Lance Griffin, Amy and Scott Cowling, Eden and Matt Baxter, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren and sister Diane Cruce of Portland.
Many of the things she enjoyed were singing, listening to her daughters sing, camping, sewing, quilting, cake decorating, and many other hands on activities. She taught us a great love for family and was very devoted to us. We will miss her greatly.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association in her memory.
