She was born June 16, 1938, named Priscilla Marie, the youngest daughter of Virgil and Lillie Brunson in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Nicked name Little Sister because she was the youngest of seven siblings.
As a young child she quickly learned to speak up for herself by being assertive and independent.
Priscilla graduated from Merrill High School at age 15 and went on to attend the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff.
In Portland, Oregon Priscilla worked as an office Administrator at John Adams High School before deciding to follow her passion opening two Wig and Clothing stores. After her second set of children became of age, she opened two Resale shops.
Once married she gave birth to her daughter Deborah (preceded her in death) and sons Paul, Terrence, Tyrone, Micah, Joshua and Isaiah.
She loved going to the beach with her family as often as possible. Once there, she would say “look at God’s beautiful creation” every time she seen the sun setting on the ocean.
She believed it was very important to stay active, so it was never a surprise to find her working in her garden late into the evening.
Although she made Portland her home, she still found time to visit her family in Arkansas. Her niece Delores shared that while in Pine Bluff, mom loved to go shopping and that she would have to buy extra luggage just so she could bring a part of Pine Bluff back to share with her family and friends.
During her visits she helped her dear friends Prophet Charles and his wife Shirley Godwin open the Crusade Center for Revivals. Their mission was to welcome anyone who needed prayer, counseling or other needs.
Priscilla leaves behind her sons Paul, Terrence (Jacquelyn), Tyrone (Tammy), Micah (Dara), Joshua (Julie) and Isaiah, all of Oregon. She also leaves her 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
We know she is smiling down upon us, filled with joy and heavenly peace. Welcoming mom home to Glory is her daughter Deborah (who she recently said she was looking forward to holding in her arms again), her parents, her sister Celeste, and brothers Booker, Crawford, Solomon, Senator, Garland, and Caleb, along with dear friends and beloved family members.
Mom, we know we no longer have you here with us, but we are happy knowing you are with God and his Heavenly Angels watching over us until we are all together again.
