He loved taking pictures and sharing those captured moments with people, he also collected different types of rocks and stone, sometimes even making jewelry from them. Being an avid outdoorsman, Ron loved camping and being around the campfire, telling stories to those that were listening as well as riding his sand buggy at Sand Lake. Over the years, he learned how long it took, or how many miles he could drive to heat a can of chili on the engine of his pickup.

How do I put into words who Ron was to me! Ron was my older cousin and I grew up being teased by him and the Crane boys. He was such a genuine person who loved to laugh and have fun. Ron and I shared a love for atv riding and spent many hours talking of our adventures! I spent many days helping him work and really getting to know him as I became an adult. I will surly miss you Ron and I know your in good company. In your favorite phrase - you are Done Done Done. Tell my dad hi❤️❤️

In almost 20 years of being my neighbor, I had the great honor of having Ron as a friend. How do I know Ron was my friend? I saw him as the kind and generous person that he always presented himself to be. I am able to say goodbye to him knowing he and I were, at times, able to tell one another how much we appreciated one another. So, my grief will not consist of regretting I didn’t tell him what he meant to me, he knew. As did I. Farewell my friend, you will be missed.
