He knew early on that he wanted to get into senior care, a career path that would turn out to mean the world to Randy. His hard work eventually led him to become the Vice President of Operations of Brookdale Senior Living, where his passion and dedication shined through every day of his career as he dedicated his life to seniors up until his final days. He was a member of the Oregon Healthcare Association as well as the Washington Healthcare Association.
Randy and Dina met through mutual friends. The two fell in love and were married on June 11, 1994. In 1999, they gave birth to their first child, Delaney. In 2002, Blaine was born.
In his spare time, Randy loved to fish, camp, hike and to travel all over the world with his family. When he had to go away on work trips, he would often bring the whole family and create a vacation out of it. He loved trying different foods, enjoyed football and baseball, and he greatly enjoyed rock and roll music. Above all else, he wanted to spend as much time as possible with his family. They meant more to him than anything else and it showed in the great care he took of them.
Randy had a great sense of humor and a positive spirit! He was always laughing, singing, dancing and having a good time. He was a friendly man and somehow managed to spark joy in just about everyone he met. As a result, he formed many great friendships over the years.
Randy is survived by his wife, Dina Cyphers; his children, Delaney Cyphers and Blaine Cyphers; his parents, Roy Cyphers and Toni Cyphers; brother, Tony (Christine) Cyphers; Nephews Tony Cyphers and Grant Cyphers; Father-in-law, Dave Forward; Mother-in-law, Sharon Forward; Sister-in-law, Tonnie Forward; Niece Kyra Zook, and the family’s beloved dog, Scout.
