Capri, Raulin Sigfred 91 June 21, 1920 July 27, 2011 Raulin was born in Duluth, Minn., to Jack and Peggy (Benson) Capri. His parents divorced when he was 2. Peggy moved Raulin, his brother Jack and sister June (both now deceased) to Sherwood. She married Jake Mass whom Raulin loved and considered his father. Raulin started a car lot after World War II, buying surplus vehicles from the U.S. Army. He bought his first bar in the mid-40s, then the Pines Hotel and Bar in Lincoln City. From there he purchased the Ranch Club in Pendleton. Raulin retired from the bar business and began selling commercial real estate for Bill Taylor and Associates. In 1970, Raulin met and married Carolyn Housman whose love and care sustained him for the rest of his life. Raulin and Carolyn had many adventures traveling in their motor home and wintering in Yuma, Ariz. Raulin is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; children, Judy Detrich (Gary), Sharon Capri, Randy Capri (Denise) and Gary Capri (Nancy); stepsons, Randy, Danny and Ricky Volk; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
