Rhoda "Dolly" Freeman, 82, of Portland, OR passed away June 13, 2026. Born to Alfred Bean and Harriet (Gravlin) Bean in Leominster, MA in1943, she is the second oldest of eight children. Dolly was a loving and dedicated wife and mother of six, she enjoyed crocheting, baking, and taking care of her family. She spent most of her life taking care of others as a health care worker in skilled nursing facilities.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 27 years, Gerald Freeman.
She is survived by her six children from her first marriage to the late William Curtis; her daughters, Deborah Jackson (Steven) and Patricia Curtis (Rodney); sons, Michael Curtis, Mark Curtis (Vikki), Robert Curtis, and Richard Curtis (Carla); her brother, Al Bean; and her sisters, Marjorie Morris, Millie Holdsworth, Shirley Rhody, Gladys Campbell, Cindy King and Martha Grill. Dolly is also survived by her eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, of whom she was lovingly referred to as 'GiGi'.
Dolly will be laid to rest next to her beloved Gerald on June 20, 2026, at 3 PM at Skyline Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
