

Richard S. Estabrook, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on December 5, 1935, in Portland, Oregon, he was the son of George Estabrook and Catherine Axtman. Richard was raised in Portland and proudly graduated from Benson High School.
A dedicated Army reservist, Richard exemplified a spirit of service and commitment throughout his life. He married his beloved wife, Julie, on September 19, 1953, and together they celebrated a remarkable 71 years of marriage.
Richard had a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways, where he worked for 38 years before retiring in 1997. Known for his friendly demeanor and easy-going nature, he was a good provider for his family and deeply cherished his role as a husband and father.
In retirement, Richard found joy in golfing, boating, and traveling, often spending cherished moments with family and friends. He is remembered not just for his hobbies, but for the love and warmth he brought to everyone he met.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Julie Estabrook; his daughter, Rhonda Brandt (Pete); and his cherished grandchildren, Alicia Estabrook, Amy Bearden (Tyler), and Jason Brandt. He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and Douglas Estabrook.
A graveside service will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park on Monday, October 14th at 11 AM, where family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Richard's life.
He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
