

He was born on November 11, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Alfred James & Emma Leona Raymond.
Richard graduated from Franklin High School in Portland, Oregon. He later went on to work in the printing industry; making plates for the presses. He was good at his job and had a successful career that lasted over 40 years.
While working at MailWell Envelope Co., he met Ralena Stark. The two fell in love and were married on November 7, 1998 in Reno, Nevada.
Richard was a Christian and an excellent gardener. He was a member of the PGVG (Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers), and one of his crowning achievements was growing an Atlantic Giant Pumpkin that weighed 991 lbs.! In addition to his love of gardening, Richard will forever be remembered as an amazingly kind man who was always willing to help anyone who asked. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Ralena (Stark) Raymond, cousin Susan Dianne Justice, son Richard Anthony Raymond, mother-in-law Bonnie J. Stark, and brother-in-law Justin W. Stark.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Richard’s memory to Providence Hospice.
