On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, Robert “Bob” Ramon Braun passed away peacefully at the age of 89 in Hillsboro, Oregon. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Chin; sons Daniel, Thomas, Joseph, stepdaughter Kyong and stepson Steven. Robert “Bob” Ramon Braun was born February 6, 1930 in Beaverton, Oregon to the late Fredrick Sr. and Gladys Braun. He was the youngest of two children. Bob attended schools in Forest Grove, Corvallis and Ontario. He learned how to plumb at a young age alongside his father while working for the family business. He plumbed his first house at the age of 12. He received his private pilot license at the age of 14 in Corvallis. In 1949 Bob married Arvilla Sanders, in Payette, Idaho they raised four boys together Daniel, Thomas, Robert and Joseph. Arvilla and he split ways in 1974, later that year he met and married Ruth Rains for a short time. Bob married Marcia Miller in 1976 together they enjoyed traveling and lived on the Olinger airstrip where he was able to indulge his love of flying and fill his “toy box” with planes, models and a RV8 that he built from a kit after his retirement in 1993. In 2003 he married Chin Suk Corbeille, they continued to live on the Olinger air strip and enjoyed visiting the Oregon coast and spending time with their family. He will be remembered for his love of flying, restoring cars, helping his neighbors, and spending time with his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was able to enjoy the thrill and his passion of flying his whole life and he was able to hold his pilot’s license for 66 years. A graveside service was held Wednesday, June 19th at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland, Oregon.
