Robert “Fireman Bob” Burr passed away July 22, 2012. Robert was born in Coquille, OR on January 23, 1937. He joined the United States Air Force Reserves, and after he was discharged, he joined Portland Fire & Rescue in 1962 and retired in 1981. He was a dedicated Alcoholics Anonymous Sponsor for 21 years, and enjoyed fishing and boating.
Bob is survived by his wife Diane; sister MaryJane; children Tim and Julie; grandchildren Eryn, Heather, Jill, Jeff, and Jared; great grandchildren Addison and Ethan; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service with Fire Department Honors will be held on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 2:00pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, Portland.
