Bob graduated from Reynolds High School in 1960, was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and spent the majority of his life building custom homes through his company Sunbeam Construction. Bob lived his life to the fullest, led by example and always treated everyone he met with the utmost respect and kindness. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, as well as a Camaro aficionado. His hobbies included road trips with friends and to car club gatherings, as well as hosting an annual salmon bake and spending time with family and friends. He spent the last 11 years enjoying the beautiful house he built amongst the vineyards of Dundee.
Bob created a lasting legacy through his daughters, Dawn Tangvald and Tara Mortenson, and three grandchildren, as well as through the houses he built and steadfast advice he gave. He is also survived by his partner, Barbie Henderson; her children, Lori Patch and Jeff Henderson; and his brothers, Gene and Floyd Herndon.
