Robert Allen Tannler

Robert Allen Tannler, 82, died in Vancouver, WA. He is survived by his children Laurie Masenhimer, Patrick Tannler, Sharon Bolander, Jill Jewell, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and long time friend Laura Hylton and Diane Tannler.

Was a corporal in the Army during the Korean War.

Robert worked for Ballon & Wright Auto Parts and Smith Auto Parts before their closures. In 1976 he became district manager for Stewart Wanner Company.

He was a scout master for troop #127 in Lake Oswego. He was Demolay dad advisor of the year for 1971. He was a member of the Milwaukie Elks #2032, Master Waluga Lodge 181 AF&AM, Scottish Rite and Shriner and also part of the Shrine Chanters. He was also a Temple Guard of the Portland Temple Guards.

A celebration of life will be at 10:00 am Saturday October 15, 2016 at Cascade Inn 11613 SE 7th St. Vancouver, WA 98683. A graveside service with military honors will be at 12:30 pm Tuesday October 18, 2016 at Willamette National Cemetery 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. Portland, OR 97266. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 pm Friday October 14, 2016 at Zeller Chapel of the Roses. Contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
