He was born on January 17, 1953 at Great Lakes U.S. Naval Hospital in Illinois to Julie and Robert Vinge, Sr. He had one older brother, Michael.
Robert “Bob” enlisted at a young age in the in the U.S. Army and served from 1970-1973. Bob married and divorced young but thankfully welcomed 2 sons, Brian and Timothy. Brian preceded him in death and he is survived by son, Timothy and grandson, Dakoda (Brian).
Bob loved his family and friends (who were his family too). He enjoyed golfing, watching football and baseball, and old western movies. He held many occupations through life including being a Wrangler, Tool maker, Towncar driver, Sales and Service representative, and in retirement, weekend security at his home away from home - Clamity Jae’s Bar and Grill.
Bob would want to be known as being a stand up, no nonsense guy and a loyal friend. Celebration of Life will follow the memorial at Clamity Jae’s, 10805 NE Halsey St, Portland, OR 97220.
