Robert Joseph Walczak

Bob was born March 8, 1936 in Lewistown, MT, and his family moved to the Oregon City area soon after. Bob graduated from Oregon City High School in 1954, and married Marie in 1956.

They continued to live in the Oregon City area as they raised their children, moving to Gresham in later years.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Virginia, and brother Albert. Bob is survived by his wife, Marie; his children Barb (Rick) McCullough, and Randy (Donna) Walczak; grandchildren Jason McCullough, Jessica (Greg) Lasher, Brianne (Caleb) Howe, and Carissa Walczak (Greg Lasslett); and great grandchildren Madilynn, Parker, and Lennon.

Bob began his lifelong career as a foundryman soon after graduation. He was a founding partner of Eagle Foundry Co. in 1974, retiring from there at the age of 75. Bob lived life to the fullest, enjoying time in Yuma, AZ and Ocean Park, WA. Bob and Marie enjoyed traveling and their adventures on his Harley.

A celebration of life is planned for Friday, March 8, 2024 at Persimmon Country Club (400 SE Butler Rd, Gresham OR) from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to the American Hospice Foundation.
