Rod Satterberg was born in Portland to Arvid and Leah Satterberg on February 21, 1938, and welcomed by his brothers John and Weldon. He married Sandy in 1960 and together they had three sons – James (Paula), Brett, and Nathan; and two grandchildren – Kati (Derek) and Kevin (Scott); and one beautiful great grandchild – Jonathan Marcus.
During his long life, Rod was many people – graduate of Portland State and the University of Portland, U.S. Army veteran, financial analyst, professional ski instructor, builder of fine homes, master craftsman, world traveler, and a singer of songs. But most importantly, he was Dad to his sons, the Phantom to his grandchildren and great grandchild, and best friend and soul mate to Sandy. He was greatly loved and is greatly missed. May the good Lord bless and keep him.
