Ronney Salim Farah, 87, of Happy Valley passed away at his home on February 27, 2018. He was born on May 23, 1930 in Portland, OR to Sam Farah and Laurice Nasrallah Farah. He attended Franklin High School, then served in the Army.
He was married to Souad Khoury Farah in Baskinta, Lebanon on August 5, 1962. They have three children, Sam Farah, Bernadette Farah Abi-Haidar, and Antoinette Farah.
He started his career in business with his family’s department store. He then eventually went on to work in retail for Meier & Frank for 30 years. He owned and managed various properties that have been in his family for a century. In his lifetime, he enjoyed attending his church, playing ping pong, gardening, bowling, traveling to his beloved homeland of Lebanon, and spending time with his large extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Caesar and Kallil, and his sister Madelain.
He is survived by his wife Souad, his children, Sam and his wife Cindi, Bernadette and her husband Rony, and Antoinette, his sister-in-law Ajia Farah, as well as his most beloved four grandchildren Alexander, Amanda and Anthony Abi-Haidar, and Brandon Zornado, his wife Shelley and 2 great-grandchildren Corbin and Paisley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
