

Rosie Duckett-Millage born on January 1, 1929, married Nathaniel Millage (deceased) to this union three children were born: Nathan Jr. Leroy, and Betty. They moved to Portland in 1956. Rosie chose the rewarding profession of nursing as a career, where she served for many years as a CNA, and later as a Med nurse, she received numerous awards as “Nurse of the month" and acknowledgments for her work. She also ran a successful business caring for geriatric patients at her foster home.
Rosie enjoyed her retirement, Even though she actively helped her daughter run her business working with people with disabilities before she retired. She found peace and solidarity within the confines of Marquis Centennial her retirement home where her and friends would travel to different sights in our Pacific Northwest lunching, walking on beaches and enjoying scenic drives. She also enjoyed overnight trips with her family members to different coast lines. Rosie enjoyed word puzzles and was an avid reader, she was quite versed in all current events across the nation and many trends, she also enjoyed working in her yard, and flower beds, that's where she would go to recharge. She always appeared in good health strong and capable until her time of transitioning, of which her family was very grateful.
Rosie is preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel and son Leroy.
Rosie is survived by children, Nathan Jr. and Betty; grandchildren Leo Aaron, Nicholas, Scott, Veronica, Michelle, Angela, Joyse; great grandchildren Shaquayia, Gabriella, Whitney, Matthew, Alexa, Samantha, Jordan, Imoni, Adrian, Jordyn, Taylor, Jayda, Aryra, Nathan, Nora; great great grandchildren Mi’Chae, Keyanna, Omari, Miracle; great great great grandchildren Kahlani, August, Gabriella and Dru.
