Roy W Coles

Our beloved father and grandfather passed from this life Sept. 19. 2012. He was born in Qunicy, OR April 2, 1916 and is survived by son Robert (Barbara), daughter Trudi (Alan), 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Fay, his second wife Theda, and granddaughter Jaina. Roy was a WWII army veteran serving with the 25th Combat Engineers of the 6th Armored Division. Roy was a member of the Piledrivers Local 2416, BPOE, Shriners and Masons. He retired in 1979 from his post as Exec.Sec./Treasurer for the Oregon State Council of Carpenters and was selected to the NW Oregon Labor Hall of Fame in 2002. He loved fishing and traveling in his RV. A memorial service will be Oct 4th, 11:00am at the Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes. Military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Adventist Health Hospice and the Paralyzed Veterans organization.
