Ruth Fern Pickar, 85, of Hillsboro, Oregon passed away peacefully in her home November 15, 2012. The daughter of Chester Graham, Ruth was born on April 7, 1927 in Wood River, Nebraska. She grew up in Flathead, Montana and fondly remembered working at Glacier National Park. In 1948, Ruth married Bernard Pickar in Little Fork, Minnesota. They moved from Minnesota to Oregon in 1963 to found Aloha Sanitary Service, where Ruth worked until her retirement. An excellent cook, she most enjoyed gathering her family around the table for home-cooked meals. Ruth is survived by her boys, David, Donald and Douglas, and six grandchildren.
A private ceremony will be held in Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to eternal rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens, Garden of the Good Shepherd. Please visit the guestbook portion of this Internet memorial. Thank you.
