Sandra was born in November 1939, in Cherryvale Kansas to Louis and Opal Foster. She met her handsome husband Ronald in Denver, and together they planted roots in Portland, Oregon, where they raised their family. For more than 56 years she was married to Ronald. She worked for the Beaverton School District as a Librarian Aide for 25 years.
Education mattered deeply to Sandra. She guided all three of her children through college, and their graduations were among her proudest moments.
Sandra is survived by her children; daughter Jacqueline (Don), son Jeffrey (Kenna), son Robert (Diana); six grandchildren Justin, Dominic, Joe, Jack, Ashley and Giovanni; her brother Richard, sister Cheryl and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Sandra had a passion for participating in her faith and watching her grandchildren's activities. She loved watching ice skating, especially during the Olympics, and cherished reading to her grandchildren and playing games. She was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoyed reading and keeping up with pop culture, and she would never turn down a trip to the movies.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donations in her memory can be made to American Red Cross.
Sandra’s final resting place will be Skyline Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home
