November 18, 1931 – February 13, 2026
Sharon Walters, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Walters.
Sharon was born on November 18, 1931, in Ontario, Oregon, where she spent her childhood years. During that time, she forged close relationships with her two brothers, Mel and Mick. Their closeness and love for one another continued throughout her life. Her family later moved to Portland, where she was introduced to her future husband, Al, by a mutual friend. They were married on March 11, 1950, and made their home in Portland throughout their entire married life, building a lifetime of memories together. For several decades, they also enjoyed spending much of the cold winter “season” in the Palm Springs area.
Sharon and Al shared a love of golf that spanned many decades. They were longtime members of Columbia Edgewater Country Club and Shadow Mountain Golf Club, where they built many lasting friendships. She also loved playing cards and was known for her competitive streak—card games were always more than just a game to her. She brought energy and determination to every table.
Her many hobbies included golf, cards, travel, painting, and shopping. In her late 80s, she taught herself how to play the keyboard, continuing to learn and challenge herself even later in life.
Sharon’s life was filled with family and friends. She cherished time spent with those she loved and maintained friendships throughout her long life.
She is survived by her three daughters, Lisa (Eddie Roesselet), Lynnette (Rick Lange), and LeAnn (Tim Mobley); her brother Mick, seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She leaves an enduring and beautiful legacy. Near the end of her life, she shared a powerful truth: “Love lives on.”
Sharon will be remembered for her spirit, her love of family, and her fierce determination. We are left with many memories that will endure.
