I’m so very saddened to hear about Duggan’s passing, and to find out about his passing just today. I was a colleague of Duggan’s at PCC and was always delighted to meet and learn from him. He was an extremely friendly person who seemed to genuinely care about others. My deepest condolences to his family. He spoke highly and with love about you.

I remember meeting Duggan and Alexia as younger kids in Tulsa. I was so happy to find out I had cousins! No matter how much time passed or how many miles were between us we managed to speak regularly and I tried to return the art of listening when he had things to get off of his chest. What an amazing gift we as a family and community in general have had to get to have Duggan in our lives. The sadness we all have for losing him here is crushing but Duggan is pain-free and encouraging everyone up in heaven as he did here. I wish peace and comfort for the rest of the family and friends that also miss him.

Duggan was absolutely the best brother I could have ever had. I wasn't able to speak at the service because my heart is just broken into a million pieces.
Duggan was my first friend as a child and my best friend as an adult. From sharing toys and friends, to the bigger milestones like prom and graduation, we did everything together growing up. As an adult he called me his "big little sister", he said he looked up to me like a big sister even though I was younger. He officiated my wedding to Jason, to whom he became close to through the years, I swear they could sit and talk about nothing and everything for hours. He knew he'd never have children of his own so he cherished his relationship with my kids, Bronwyn and Kellen, and he was the best uncle any kid could ever ask for. 
Duggan and I had no secrets, we were each other's secret keepers. The number of times we'd be talking and one of us would say "now this is just between us" was countless. We talked about everything, no subject was out of bounds. I knew that I could say anything to him and he would listen and offer whatever I needed - advice, support, or a different perspective.
The last few years I've lived about 30 minutes away outside of town; he loved coming and spending the night or the weekend at my house, calling it his private getaway, his zen palace, his Shangri La. My singular regret is that he really wanted to spend another weekend at my house and we had to put that last getaway off because he was getting weaker and weaker, but I can feel him here with me now and I take solace in that.
I could never say everything I want to say about my brother, there will never be the right words to express how much I miss him. I will work on putting the pieces of my heart back together, but it will never be the same, there will always be pieces missing and it will always be a little bit broken. For now, the pain is fresh; putting my heart back together seems impossible, but I'll do it for him, I'll do it for Duggan.

Duggan was a man who loved everyone. He was the best example of what a Christian man should look like that anybody could wish to see. No matter how hard the road he traveled, he remained kind, loving and hopeful. He has now jettisoned the body that betrayed him and he is now out of pain & turmoil.
