Stanely F. Poitras was born in Belcourt, North Dakota to parents Moses H. and Lena D. (Poitra) Poitras on September 7, 1921. He served in the US Army Air Corps in England during WWII and it was there that he met the love of his life, Vera.
Follwing their retrun to the United States, Stanley worked as a welder and boilermaker. He is predeceased by his parents; three brothers; two sisters; a daughter, Paula; and one grandchild. Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Vera; sons, Stanley and Gerald Poitras; daughters, Carla and Sheila Poitras, and Kathleen Huggins; and six grandchildren.
