

Steve was born in Portland on September 22, 1957. He was a graduate of Barlow High School earning his Bachelor’s degree from Warner Pacific University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Steve was a self-made man known for his work ethic and industrious nature. His professional life was predominately spent in the metal industry. He devoted 34 years to Precision Castparts Corporation working in many different roles ending as senior supply chain manager before retiring in 2023. After his retirement, Steve continued to share his expertise through a consulting business that he established.
Throughout his life, Steve held many volunteer positions including serving on the city of Sandy Planning Commission, serving on the boards of his credit union and Oregon State College of Business, and volunteering with Clackamas County Victims Assistance.
Steve’s love story with his wife, Sarah, began when he answered a personal ad in the Willamette Week. Together they built a wonderful family as they raised their children Kristin and Greg. Steve was the consummate provider for his family. At home he was warm, smart, creative and could make the family laugh.
Steve was a Christian man and enjoyed his church community. His hobbies included fishing, gardening and snowmobiling. He particularly loved his 34 years with the Portland Football Officials Association, ending his career as a referee, wearing the white hat. His passion for the game, the players and his fellow officials was a highlight of his life.
Steve is survived by this loving wife Sarah; daughter, Kristin; son, Greg; and sister, Sue. He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, on January 10, at one o’clock. A reception will be held following the service.
