

Suzanne called Portland, Oregon her home for 71 years. She graduated from David Douglas High School in 1969, where she was a member of National Forensics League, a speech and debate honorary organization. As a senior she was voted Most Inspirational Speaker by her chapter.
Suzanne graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon in 1972. She enjoyed classes in debate and political science. Suzanne was a member of Alpha Phi sorority.
Her career included insurance, banking, and working with nonprofit organizations.
She enjoyed coffee and tea with family and friends, visits to beaches in Oregon and Hawaii and arts and crafts. She loved animals, especially her doggie friends Ladybug, Cuddles, and Amber. Winnie the Pooh was a favorite book and Sing, a favorite animated movie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Curtis and Maybelle Fowlie Curtis. She is survived by her sister, Carol Curtis Stilz, and her niece, Kathleen Stilz Fisher.
Suzanne was baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal Church. A niche side celebration of her life will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, Oregon, Saturday, February 18, 2023.
