Takae "Frances" Morrow, known to friends as Frances, 85, peacefully passed the evening of Saturday, May 11, 2019 after a long battle to Alzheimer's Disease. Frances was born in Sasebo, Japan and married Ronald Morrow, on March 2, 1954. In 1963, they moved to North Plains, Oregon and made it their family home.
Frances worked at the Canlis Restaurant, located on the top floor of the Hilton Hotel for 15 years. In 1978, she and her husband decided to purchase a local tavern known back then as "Morrow's Lower Tavern". She owned and ran the business for 18 years and decided to retire in 1996.
She is survived by her 3 children; Greg Morrow of Newport, Oregon, Leon Morrow of Woodland, Washington and Debbie Baggenstos of Scappoose, Oregon. Along with her 7 grandchildren; Nick Morrow, Max Morrow, Kyle Morrow, Ashley Kekahuna, Devon Morrow, Sarah Morrow and Kayla Baggenstos.
No service will be held but family, friends and others who Frances touched are invited to Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course in North Plains, Oregon from 2pm-5pm on Thursday, May 23, 2019, to reminisce, share stories and celebrate her life.
She was a very inspiring woman, that was loved by many and will forever be be in our hearts.
