From a young age, Tara was an athlete who embraced competition, teamwork, and the determination to always give her best. The lessons she learned through sports stayed with her throughout her life, shaping the resilience, strength, and perseverance that defined her character. She also loved traveling with her family, camping, water sports, and creating treasured memories through adventures both near and far. Whether exploring new places or simply enjoying time together, those moments meant the world to her.
Tara was also a devoted and hardworking employee of Burgerville, where she dedicated 20 years of her life. Through her commitment, leadership, and exceptional work ethic, she earned the role of General Manager. She took immense pride in her work and was known for her dependability, integrity, and the genuine care she showed her team, coworkers, customers, and community. She led by example, inspired those around her, and built lasting friendships throughout her career. Her Burgerville family held a special place in her heart.
Tara had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, heard, and deeply cared for. She possessed a compassionate heart, a quiet strength, and a resilience that carried her through life’s challenges with grace and courage. She was always willing to lend a listening ear, offer a comforting hug, or share a laugh when it was needed most. Her kindness, warmth, and both beautiful and unforgettable sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all else, Tara loved her family. She was a devoted mother who cherished her children with all her heart. She was a beloved daughter, a caring sister, and a loyal friend whose love knew no bounds. She found joy in life’s simple moments and in creating memories with the people she loved most.
Though her time with us was far too short, Tara’s love, compassion, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Tara is survived by her husband and two children, Margot and Warren. Mother Lori and Siblings, Daniel, Sabrina, Rachel, Sheila and Tyler.
Poem-
Feel no guilt in laughter, she knows how much you care. Feel no sorrow in a smile that she’s not here to share. You cannot grieve forever, she wouldn’t want you to. She’d hope that you can carry on, the way you always do.
So talk about the good times, and the ways you showed you cared. The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you; a word someone may say, will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day. That brings her back as clearly as though she were still here, and fills you with the feelings that she is always near.
For if you keep these moments, you will never be apart, and she will live forever locked safe within your heart.
A Funeral Service will be held at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW SUNSET HWY, PORTLAND, OR 97225, US, on July 9, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
