A third generation Oregonian, Teresa was born on May 19th, 1954, to Leonard and Barbara and spent a happy childhood in Sellwood where she attended Llewellyn Elementary School, walking to and from school each day with her older sister Sue. From her father, Teresa gained a deep respect for her Italian heritage and in the joys of birdkeeping, something she would be continue as a hobby her whole life. From her mother, Teresa learned the value of family and of unconditional love, something she would show to her own children years later.
While attending Cleveland High School, Teresa met Scott. They married a few years later and spent 24 years of wonderful happiness together raising their three sons: Tim, Andy, and Matt. During those years, Teresa accomplished so much between working a full career as a dental hygienist, planting a lush garden that would make Martha Stewart drool, family trips to Manzanita and Nehalem Bay, and enough completed arts and craft projects to fill a museum.
The simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Teresa. A sunny afternoon spent in the garden, a quiet evening working on needlepoint, or the warmth of her beloved dachshund sitting in her lap were all things she loved. Perhaps above all else, she found pride and happiness in raising her sons and in being a mother.
Teresa’s pleasant personality, easy-going attitude and her smile were contagious to everyone who knew her or crossed paths with her. Teresa is survived by her sons Tim, Andy, and Matt, her sister Sue, best friend Tammy, and many other family and friends.
