Thomas "Jim" Allen Jr.

November 15, 1934 – June 28, 2025
Obituary of Thomas "Jim" Allen Jr.
IN THE CARE OF

Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home

Thomas (Jim) Allen Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 90. Born on November 15, 1934, in Omaha, Nebraska, Jim was raised in Portland, Oregon, where he attended Washington High School.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War from January 25, 1952, to November 10, 1955. After his service, he returned home and began building the life he cherished most—with family at the center of it.

On March 11, 1960, Jim married Shirley in Vancouver, Washington. Introduced by their mothers, Jim and Shirley went on to share 65 wonderful years of marriage together, a bond built on love, and a lifetime of memories made side by side.

Jim had a deep love for the outdoors and spent many hours hunting, riding motorcycles, and tinkering in his garage—always fixing something. He was known as a man who could repair just about anything and who found joy in doing so.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Allen; his son, Edward (Traci) Allen; grandchildren Zachary (Anna) Allen, Brittany (Tyler) Wike, Mackenzie (Garee) Gregory, and Macie (Ben) Foubert; and great-grandchildren Lincoln, Elliot, Charlotte, Elise, and Ester.

Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, a proud father to his sons, and a dedicated grandfather and great-grandfather. His legacy of love, service, and hands-on kindness lives on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.
