Awe, Thomas A., 71, of Gresham, OR passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016. Tom was born in Sycamore, IL to Delbert & Helen (Meyers) Awe and grew up on a family farm in the Genoa, IL area. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, served his country and was honorably discharged in 1966. Upon leaving the military, he married and moved to Tillamook and Portland, OR areas. Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Janet (Leathers) Awe; sons Toby, Kelly (wife Christi) and stepson Chris Humphries; grandchildren Kellen Awe, Brandon Parker and Jackson & Julia Humphries.
Tom retired from Harder Mechanical as an iron worker and began work as a custom farmer in Delhart, TX for 14 years. Moving on from Texas he spent time briefly in Ontario, OR, later settling at his principal residence in Portland, OR in the off-season.
