He came from a large family. He had five brothers; Pat, Danny, Kevin, Richard, and Mike and two sisters; Gerry and Barbara. He survived his parents Nancy Dehler Weller and Bill Weller.
Tim enjoyed performing in theater productions in his youth. He always said he wanted to be a star on Broadway, but gave it all up to raise kids in Alameda. (The Portland neighborhood, not the California town.)
After high school, he signed up to serve two years in the Navy. During the Vietnam War he was a paramedic on the USS Sanctuary. Tim rarely spoke of his time in Vietnam, but it shaped his worldview a lot. He protested against war when he returned home, working with organizations like Veterans for Peace and Vietnam Veterans Against War.
Tim married Aurora Williams in 1973. They had two sons, Paul Franklin Weller and Ara James Weller.
Tim tried his hand at many different jobs over the years, but his greatest successes were as a salesman. Over the years he sold office supplies, carpet, window treatments, eyewear, Oregon Symphony tickets, and cab rides as a driver for Radio Cab.
He loved meeting new people and conversing with them. He was charming, clever, and handsome. He was always quick with a compliment or joke. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family and all of the souls that he touched along the way. We love you Timothy James.
A memorial service for Timothy will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Ross Hollywood Chapel, 4733 NE Thompson St, Portland, OR 97213.
