God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb, he gently closed those loving eyes and whispered, ‘Peace be thine!’ The weary hours, the days of pain, the sleepless nights are passed, the ever patient worn out frame, has found sweet rest at last!
Tommie Lee Stringfellow III was born on October 24, 1959, in Portland, Oregon and passed peacefully at the age of 65 on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Tommie graduated from Lincoln High School, was a devoted member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, and worked as a Longshoremen for most of his career. He was an avid sports fan, loved cooking and baking, was a talented artist, and loved nice cars, but most of all Tommie loved his family.
Tommie now reunites with his parents, Jean Marie and Tommie Lee Stringfellow, and sister, Gloria Jackson.Tommie will be dearly missed by his daughters, Brittany Wyatt, and Lacey Stringfellow; his sons, T.J. and Austin Stringfellow; his sisters, Shirley Lee Bell, Beverly Jean Watson, Deborah Stringfellow, and Diane Marie Hill; his aunt, Gloris Willie Polk of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Icy and Kinley Wyatt; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
Attending Pallbearers, the family is honored to have, T.J. Stringfellow, Paul Jackson, Charles L. Hill II, Dapre Gaston Sr., Dapre Gaston Jr., Dashawn Gaston; Honorary Pallbearers, Austin Stringfellow, Edwin Jackson Jr., and Lavern Watson III.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services, to be officiated by Minister; Willie H. Bell II, at 1:30 PM in the Skyline Chapel at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97229. On Friday, August 29, 2025. Tommie will be laid to rest at Skyline Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with a Graveside Committal taking place following the service at 3:00 PM, all are welcome to attend.
