She was born in Guymon, Oklahoma on December 10,1926. She was the second of eight children. She graduated from High School in Monument, NM and went to work at the Hobbs Air Force Base.

She met her future husband Walter Bennett at the May Day dance. They corresponded for 2 years during the war and were reunited and married on March 10, 1946.

Vera loved being a wife and mother. Her faith and church were central to her life. She enjoyed many activities during her lifetime: singing in the church choir, volunteering, waterskiing, golfing, traveling, sewing and needlework.

She is survived by her 6 children: David Bennett, Pamela Johnson, Debra Stowers, Donald Bennett, Tom Bennett and Susan Peek.

She has 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 Viewing at 9:00am - Service at 11:00am
