

Virginia Lee Marcum, age 84 of Portland, Oregon, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026. Born on June 10, 1941, Virginia lived a life deeply rooted in love, warmth, and an unwavering dedication to the people she cared about most.
Virginia’s true passion in life was her family. She found her greatest joy in taking care of them, and her kitchen was the heart of her home. She loved cooking for her loved ones, creating not just wonderful meals, but lasting memories. For Virginia, happiness was simple: she was happy surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife of Gary Harland Marcum, with whom she married April 5, 58 years ago. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and nurturing soul will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Virginia is survived by her devoted husband, Gary; her loving children: son Gary D., Lance and his wife Lisa, Shane, and daughter Annjeanette and her husband Mike. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Max, Riley, Sam, Madison, Charlotte, Evan, Jackson, Brooke, and Logan, who brought immense light and joy to her life, as well as a community of friends who will long remember her warmth.
Virginia's life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 4:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2930 NE 102nd Ave in Portland.
