

Poon, Vivian 75 July 25, 1941 Aug. 16, 2016 Vivian Wai Wan Poon died peacefully in her sleep in her Portland home on Aug. 16, 2016 at the age of 75. Born in Hong Kong, Vivian was the third of eight children born to Allen and Pauline Poon. After attending Saint Stephens Girls College, Vivian was the first in her family to move to the United States back in 1962, when she made Portland her home.
She married Albert Wong and had two sons, Stephen and Patrick. She worked alongside her husband for 25 years at the Tuck Lung Restaurant until she divorced and went into real estate, a profession which she continued to practice until retiring in 2014. Vivian was an active member in all of the churches she attended, calling Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church her home church over the past 20 years.
She is survived by two brothers, David and Robert; three sisters Irene, Grace, and Ruby; her sons; and four grandchildren, Shelby, Theodora, Teresa and Nathaniel.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday Aug. 26 at Zeller Chapel of the Roses, 2107 NE Broadway St, Portland, OR 97232. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, 5441 SE Belmont St., Portland, OR 97215.
