

He was born on February 20, 1934 in Woodland, Washington to Richard and Katherine Cole. He was adopted at birth to Walter and Ollie Warren.
Walter grew up in the Woodland, Washington area, and graduated from Woodland High School. He joined the Air Force and served 4 years, training in telecommunications.
He married Wanda Lee Manke in 1957 in Stevenson, Washington. Wanda passed away last year on June 6, 2024.

Besides his siblings and children, Walter had 8 grandchildren:
Tim Evans, Matthew Evans, Leah Rosales, Walter Levi Warren, Lindsy Fagan, Rebekah Nicholas, Zachary Warren, and Callie Warren.
He also had many great grandchildren.
Walter’s work took him and his family all over the United States. They lived in Oregon, Washington, Ohio, Virginia, Tennessee and Alaska.
At his retirement in the ’80s, Walter settled in Vancouver to remain close to his family and friends.
Walter had a passion for baseball, and once played on a field team for the Cleveland Indians. He also loved fishing, traveling, family functions, visiting with his siblings on the Cole side, attending Church on Sunday, and spending time with friends at the Tip Top Tavern on Main Street in Vancouver.
He was active up to the end, and led a very full and fulfilling life.
