He later entered Benson Polytechnic High School where he majored in photography. He was awarded many trophies for his creative excellence. He was an exemplarily student and received many accolades and academic achievements, particularly in math. It was chess and checkers in his youth that he developed his tactical thinking and quick decision making ability. He also loved playing instruments in his spare time teaching himself the horn and guitar. In his adult years, Wiley was employed at Crown Zellerbach, Pacific Saw and Knife. As an adult Wiley had many interests: basketball, tennis, associating with good friends, but most importantly and with much enjoyment—Poker, Keno and his beloved Golf! Wiley golfed many courses, but his most cherished course was Broadmoor. Broadmoor was a place he found tranquility and enjoyment from life’s stresses. He took pleasure in making golfers empty their pockets after a hard fought round as Wiley loved competition. It was our family activities where Wiley developed the foundation of his wisdom, humor and compassion. His parents spent his formative years attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The biggest turning point in Wiley’s life is when he became a Father. It was the start of Wiley’s own family that made the biggest impact on his life awareness, his desire to love without limits, and his chance to show compassion without hesitation. His beloved dog Chihuahua, Paco will miss their early morning coffee chats.
