We were very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was one of the first new neighbors we met when we moved back to Portland and into the neighborhood 10 years ago. I was fortunate to have spent time talking with him and getting to know him as he made his rounds during his walks, and definitely miss seeing him in his driveway with a smile on his face and wave of his hand, as we had been accustomed to. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary and family during this difficult time. The world may have lost a very good man in physical presence, but in spirit and thoughts he continues on and will not be forgotten by all the lives he touched. May he eternally rest in peace.

Bill used to come to Mass frequently at Providence Portland Chapel. I used to visit with him when he did come. I will miss him and our conversations. I remembered him at Mass this morning.
