William (Bill) DeBauw, 91, passed away peacefully July 17, 2016 at Providence St. Vincent Portland with his family by his side. He was born June 1, 1925 in Lake Oswego to a family of 5 brothers and 3 sisters, served in the Navy on a mine sweeper during WW2 in the Pacific. Bill married Virginia in 1948 after the war. He was a home builder and later a General Contractor. He was in business with his wife in the area for many years before retiring. Bill and Virginia enjoyed people while boating and later traveling in their motor home and managing their properties. Bill was known for his million $ smile, bright blue eyes, and quick wit. Survived by wife Virginia, daughter Bonnie Ball & husband Kurt, sister Sylvia, and brother & sister-in-law Buzz & Annette Gilbert, and many nieces & nephews that called him Uncle Bill.
