

William Karl Haliski was born in Portland, Oregon January 31, 1933 and passed away June 21, 2016 He is survived by his wife Jean (Elfving); daughter Jan and son-in-law John Robison: grandson Erik Gillett; graddaughter Roxanne Gillett; step grandchildren Amber Walker (Robsion) and Brett Robison. Bill has fourteen nieces and nephews and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Stella and Carl Haliski; sisters, Frances Suckow, Irene Woodroofe, Barbara Warneke, and brother Richard Haliski. Bill graduated from Jefferson High School in 1950. He served in The US Army in Korea in the 1950’s and was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. He attended journeymen school and became an electrician, working with Multnomah County for 30 years retiring as Chief Supervising Electrician for Multnomah County Bridges. He was a member of St. Rita’s Parrish and served as Eucharistic minister and Usher. He was a member of IBEW Local 48. Upon Retiring, Bill’s newfound passion was spending time restoring old clocks. He loved visiting people, eating good food and watching movies.
