

William “Bill” Morse was born in Portland on May 29, 1927. He passed away on October 24, 2015 at the age of 88. Bill graduated from Jefferson High School in 1945, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University, a Master of Science degree from Washington State University, and a PhD from Arizona State University. He was also a member of Theta XI fraternity.
He married Elizabeth Donaldson on September 29, 1961. Bill proudly served in the Navy during both WWII and the Korean War. He is retired from BPA and also did some High School and Jr. College teaching.
Bill enjoyed many years volunteering as a girls soccer coach in Parkrose, and was a professional ski instructor at Multipor Ski Bowl for over 25 years. He enjoyed playing tennis, running, biking and volunteering for Snowcap.
Bill is survived by his wife Elizabeth Morse and their two daughters, three grandchildren, sister Barbara Close and Brenna O’Farrell and Tegan Carnes.
A committal service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, OR 97086.
