William Todd Serocki
May 18, 1961 – August 2, 2018
“To thine own self be true”, ever present and father to many are just a few statements made when asked to describe William “Bill” T. Serocki of Portland. Bill was born on May 18, 1961 to John and Irma Serocki in St. Joseph, Missouri and was raised with three siblings. He worked as a laborer in multiple industries and later went on to college to pursue a career as a professor. He married Debra Rider and together they raised three children until her passing in 1988. Bill was a jack of all trades and enjoyed tinkering on projects both in and around his home. He also enjoyed working on cars/machines, riding motorcycles, and took pride in keeping a well-manicured yard. Bill had a kinship with nature, especially the animals, trees, and mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Empathy, honesty (even when it hurt), integrity, outspokenness, and fearlessness are just a few of the many words to describe Bill and the life he led. William “Bill” Todd Serocki, 57, of Portland, passed away on August 02, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra; and brother, Brant. He is survived by his children, Chasity (Joseph), Stephanie (Adam), Billy, and his seven grandchildren; siblings, Terry and Bryan. A graveside service will held on Sunday, August 12th at 1:00pm at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and a celebration of life gathering will be held directly following the service.
