Bill graduated from Jefferson High School and later developed a passion for driving, becoming a Tri-Met bus driver for several years and a long haul 18-wheeler truck driver for 34 years.
Rather you knew him by Willie, Bill, Steel Bill, or his childhood nick-name, "Sonny", one thing you knew for sure is God was the foundation of his life and root of his soul. His love for the Lord was immeasurable. He longed for any opportunity to study and teach the word of God. "How's your insurance?" He would ask, referring to eternal commitment to Christ.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Laura Guyton; Sister, Lovie Guyton; 2 brothers: John Guyton and James Guyton; Stepson, Manuel Massey; 7 grandsons: Dominique, Angelo, Mario, Elijah, Manuel Jr., Taylor, and Tyrone; 3 granddaughters: Sharay, Sad'e, and Chanel, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Willie Bird Guyton; mother, Lovie Ann Guyton, and 2 siblings: Lillie and Jim Guyton, who passed as infants.
Although he left many behind to cherish his memory, Bill would simply tell us "Don't worry about me" for he is now free and riding his final highway... all the way to Heaven!
