Willie Amos Jones Jr.

He was born Monday, March 9th, 1953 in Portland, Oregon. The only son of Christine and Willie Amos Jones Sr.

Willie attended Terwilliger Elementary School, Portland Community College making the Dean and Presidential lists, Casa Loma Institute of Technology, North Pacific Dental and Medical College, and Portland State University.

Willie worked numerous jobs in the public service department. The Salvation Army, Janus Youth Village Market, Victory Outreach, Work Source Employment Metro Office, Wildland Force and Ferguson Management Company as a Fire Fighting Squad Boss to name a few. His last place of employment was with Central City Concern (CCC) as a Peer Support Specialist.

Willie was a blessing to this place we call Earth. His smile would greet you before you even knew he was smiling at you. When his mother, Christine Jones, the Matriarch of the Jones family passed away in 2009, Willie turned his life around for the better. His love for the Lord was apparent and he had no problem sharing that with everyone. He was always dressed for success and had the best style.

Willie was the father of five children, Terrell Kennedy, Tanisha Kennedy, Kymra Hamblin, Shanel Jones, and Alycia Richmond. Willie was the grandfather of two grandchildren, Phillaray and Kamaiah who greeted him in heaven; 14 living grandchildren; and eight great granchildren.

Willie also leaves behind five living siblings: Ameera Saahir, Dolores Jones, Cynthia Simms, Ihsan Jones, and Jacqueline Jones. His siblings greeting him in heaven are Ernestine Batchelor, Celeste Jones, and Patricia Jones.

Willie is now dancing in heaven with his mother, Christine and father, Willie Sr.
