

Her family left Arkansas when she was three years old and moved to Portland, Oregon. A mother to a daughter, Angela Marie. Willie graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961. Willie entered nursing school where she launched her career in healthcare. She met and married Ronnie Vernon Piper to which they were blessed with two additional children, Clifford Duane, and Ronald Vernon. The family relocated to Vancouver, Washington in 1972.
Willie spent over 40 years serving as a dedicated nurse. The bulk of her career was spent in the Endoscopy Department of Legacy Emmanuel hospital where she earned a reputation as being a warm, friendly, and committed healthcare professional. She auditioned for and was given a small role in a TV movie, Without Warning: Terror in the Towers, which was being filmed in Portland. In her spare time, she loved bowling, traveling, attending church, hosting family, and testing her luck at the casino.
Willie was preceded in death by, George and Ruby Elliott, Charlie and Eunice Hall, Clifford Duane Piper II, and a host of other beloved family and friends.
Willie leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Angela Ballard (James), Clifford Piper (Anna), and Ronald Piper (Martha); eleven grandchildren, James Ballard, Jayme Ballard, Alexis Piper, Samara Piper, Shaquille Piper, Austin Tremel, Paris Piper, Jamaya Landry, Jonathan Landry, Ronald Piper III, Cameron Piper; three great-grandchildren, Malcom Brown, Harlow Piper, Greyson Piper; a sister Dolores Jefferies (Oliver); two brothers Lemar Elliott (Geraldine) and Joseph Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many devoted friends.
